Dan from Kisouro Tours Uganda took us on a 2 day trip to Mburo National Park.
5/5

A hugely enjoyable trip-very organised with safe driving and very comfortable accommodation with beautiful food and attentive staff. The amount of animals and birds we experienced was spectacular and exhilarating. So many species of birds plus crocodiles, hippos, zebra, giraffes, warthog, mongoose, snake, monkeys, frogs and many antelope. We had a wonderful time and can't wait til our next trip with Dan.

Lake Mburu National Park tour
5/5

A great tour, well organised, smoothly run and good value for money. We were looked after by Dan from Kisoro Tours Uganda and we really felt like he cared for us. He went out of his way on the return journey so we could stop off at a place of interest without any hesitation. Thank you Dan.

2 day trip to Mburo National Park
5/5

After a busy 2 weeks in Kampala four of us decided to do a quick safari to Mburo National Park before travelling back to UK. We chose to go with Dan from Kisoro Tours because we have traveled with him before as have other friends. Our previous trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park was excellent so we chose Kisoro Tours again. Dan is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide and good fun to be with. We had a great trip, and highly recommend it. We saw an abundance of wildlife. A boat trip on Lake Mburo was included and we saw many species of birds, including fish eagles and kingfishers. There were lots of hippopotamus and Nile Crocodiles and on land we saw zebra, giraffe and many types of antelope. The transport and accommodation were very comfortable and the trip was well organised. Dan took us back to Entebbe airport after lunch at the Equator…a lovely end to our trip to Uganda.

We did everything we wanted to do! Big Five, primates, and much, much more
5/5

This was a fantastic trip. Three of us had a fantastic trip with Eddy our driver and guide. We went to Akagera, Nyungwe and Volcanoes National Parks in Rwanda. The places we stayed had wonderful accommodations and delicious meals (often more than we could eat so we learned to share dishes), especially the fresh fruit everywhere. We were fortunate to not hike too far into the jungles to see the gorillas, chimpanzees, and golden monkeys. In two days we saw the Big Five and so much wildlife. On the road and at the parks, Eddy was always watchful of birds since I like photographing them--and he knew them all.
We changed our itinerary at least three times and Dan was patient and responsive to reach our final one. Well worth the cost. We will return to visit Rwanda and add Uganda to our trip with Kisoro.

Fantastic 20 days Safari in Uganda and Rwanda
5/5

We have spent during January and February 20 fantastic days in Uganda and Rwanda. The organization of the trip by Dan of Kisoro Tours Uganda Ltd was extraordinary. All lodges, hotels, permits, parks, game drives, restaurants, and activities were perfectly booked, waiting for us.
We followed an itinerary carefully designed together with Dan that allowed us to know all what Uganda and Rwanda can offer to the tourists: trekking with gorillas in the mountains of the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi, trekking with chimps in Kibale National Park, trekking with golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park, rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the game drives, Kazinga Channel and Ishasha at Queen Elizabeth National Park, the magnificent Murchison Falls, the River Nile, the Big 5 in Akagera National Park!!! All of them incredible experiences, once in the life!!! All that together with great natural beauty, lakes, craters, rivers, falls, swamps, history, culture, gastronomy, excellent hotels and lodges, and people so kind everywhere!!!
We drive with Dan in his Safari vehicle through all the most amazing places of Uganda and Rwanda. Trekking and Habituation of Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest were the most exciting experiences that anyone can have. Ben, our Spanish speaker guide, was an essential part of this trip, always trying to fulfill all our needs and requests!!!
Both, Dan and Ben are very knowledgeable of all aspects of Uganda and Rwanda: historical, cultural, social, geographic, and are extraordinary communicating to their tourists, solving all the doubts and trying to make each day a fabulous experience. Spanish of Ben is excellent!!!
I highly recommend Kisoro Tours Uganda Ltd, Dan and Ben to enjoy an unforgettable Safari in Uganda and Rwanda, like ours!!!

Dan is a fantastic tour guide
5/5

I very much enjoyed my trip guided by Dan of Kisoro Tours Uganda. He is very friendly, attentive, and a great driver. He has a good rapport with workers at the lodges we stayed at as well as the events. We did monkey and gorilla tracking along with a game drive and boat excursion. His experience combined with his willingness to provide a great experience was appreciated. Thank you, Dan.

I have visited Uganda two times, and both times Dan has provided high level of support with transportation from Entebbe to Uganda’s Eastern Region. Dan has always been very communicative and responsive to questions and requests in advance of my trips, and has also been exceptionally punctual and reliable during the trips. Overall, Dan has gone out of his way to make the transportation convenient and smooth.

Dan is also very enjoyable to be around. He has a great sense of humour and is always more than happy to answer my seemingly endless questions about Uganda. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone who is looking to visit Uganda for work or pleasure.

What an incredible experience!
5/5

had the pleasure of going on a trip to Uganda with Dan from Kisoro Tours Uganda as our guide and I must say, it was an amazing experience! From start to finish, Dan was incredibly punctual and accommodating to everything we wanted to do. He made every effort to ensure that our trip was smooth and memorable, and he truly succeeded in doing so.

One of the highlights of our trip was the unique gorilla trekking experience. Dan managed to get us unique access to the gorilla families, which was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The experience was truly unforgettable and I am so grateful to Dan for making it happen.

In addition to his fantastic organizational skills, Dan's knowledge of the area was incredible. He was able to answer any questions we had about the local culture and wildlife, and he always went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Dan was also incredibly friendly and fun to be around, which made our trip even more enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend Dan from Kisoro Tours Uganda to anyone looking for an amazing trip to Uganda. His professionalism, knowledge, and friendly personality make him the perfect guide for an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Dan, for making our trip so memorable!

Organized, efficient, knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around.
5/5

Dan did an amazing job of developing a specialized itinerary for us. We had very specific places and activities that we wanted to see and do in Rwanda & Uganda. That wasn't a problem for Kisoro Tours. Dan coordinated everything so smoothly and effortlessly. Everyday we were able to relax and enjoy without feeling any stress about our trip.

Dan has such a welcoming and fun personality. It was easy to see that he is well-liked and respected by others within the tourist industry. When we arrived at our accommations and the national parks, others went out of their way to greet Dan and talk with him. Definitely made me more confident and comfortable that we choose Kisoro Tours.

It can be a little uncomfortable to send money using a bank transfer when you don't know the other person/company. However, this seems to be a normal practice in some places. The transfer was easy and there weren't any problems using this process for payment.

Would love to take another trip with Dan & Kisoro Tours Uganda Ltd!

Beyond Expectations-10 day personalized tour of Rwanda and Uganda!!
5/5

Kisoro Tours Uganda provided a wonderful, personalized tour of Rwanda and Uganda. Dan selected accommodations that were locally owned and operated which was important to me. Kisoro was the only adventure tour company to advertise the ability to cross borders and tour in both Rwanda and Uganda. This made efficient travel possible given our limited vacation time. My cousin and I started in Kigali, Rwanda, and traveled to Volcanoes National Park, then entered Uganda, visiting Bwindi NP, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Kibale Forest National Park, and flying out through Entebbe, Uganda. There was no time spent backtracking and driving back to Kigali, which left more time for viewing wildlife and other activities. Dan has contacts and friends throughout both countries, and we took full advantage of this. Some highlights for me was to stay in Muhabara Hotel, Room 12, which was Dian Fossey’s “Home away from home” and hiking to her grave site with local college students, majoring in tourism. They were so energetic, polite, and fun even while we all struggled through the mud! Our porters, Dany and Jean Claude, and our guide, Odela, were invaluable! We were lucky to see a gorilla along this hike which is not common!

We then went onto Uganda and did 2 days of gorilla habituation in Bwindi National Park. We stayed a Rushaga Gorilla Lodge in a beautiful location. Our rangers, Patrick and Eleisha, were knowledgeable and professional along with our porters Gloria, Abel, Innocent and Ronald. The gorillas were amazing and even visited a cave where they had not been seen to utilize before! We then hiked from Nkuringo to Buhoma through Bwindi National Park. Our guide, Mandela, was also knowledgeable. On this hike, in addition to the black and white colobus, red colobus, L’Hoest, and vervet monkeys, we saw a chimpanzee, which Mandela said was the 1st time one had been seen. They usually run from humans! We stayed at the beautiful Haven Lodge in Buhoma, which is community owned!

From here we traveled to Queen Elizabeth National Park where, in addition to the common sightings of cob, waterbuck, topi, warthog, hippo and elephant, we saw 2 milky eagle owls, 2 hyenas lounging in a watering hole, a lioness hunting cob and a leopard, who posed just for us! We stayed at the Buffalo Safari Lodge. When we walked into our room, we said “WOW”! We also went on the boat tour in the channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Bambili, was our guide and has a degree in wildlife and natural resources. He did a phenomenal job! We saw many, many hippos, crocodiles and elephants as well as several bird species.

From there we traveled to Kibale Forest National Park and stayed at the Rwenzori View Guest House. This place had “family-style” meals which offered us a chance to get to know other travelers. We did the chimpanzee habituation experience and enjoyed that very much. Our guide was, Edison, who had worked for the National Park Service for 22 years! Dan then arranged for a tour of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is a local, conservation area spearheaded, developed and managed by the community. This won an award from UNESCO Wetlands Sustainable Tourism Project as the best community sustainable tourism project! Katie was our guide and was wonderful. The monkeys in the area are somewhat habituated, so we saw red colobus, black and white colobus, red-tailed, and vervet monkeys. We also saw many bird species.

On our last day, we toured the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves near Fort Portal. Ignatious “Iggi” was our knowledgeable guide with over 7 years of experience. We also hike to the 3 Explosion Crater Lakes where we climbed to the highest peak and had a 360 degree view of the area. Absolutely beautiful! From there, we drove the last few hours to Entebbe, where we enjoyed Burundi drummers on the beach of Lake Victoria, before flying out.

Dan, Kisoro Tours Uganda, can be trusted with providing you with a personalized tour, is professional and has a contagious smile! I would highly recommend Kisoro Tours Uganda! Dan is the Man!
